The filter bag is a key part of the operation of the baghouse, and usually the cylindrical filter bag is suspended vertically in the collector. The fabric and design of the filter bag should pursue efficient filtration, easy dust peeling and durability as much as possible.

In pulse and gas box type pulse dust collectors, the dust is attached to the outer surface of the filter bag. When the dust-containing gas passes through the dust collector, the dust is trapped on the outer surface of the filter bag, and the clean gas enters the inside of the filter bag through the filter material. The cage inside the bag is used to support the bag and prevent it from collapsing, while it helps to remove and redistribute the dust cake.
